NCC vs SCC - League Game 09.07.2016

Our 8th Game was against SSC and it was just after the Eid. The game was scheduled on Saturday so it was very difficult for us to make a complete team. After doing lot of phone calls and convincing people we had 9 brave souls who were ready to make a journey to Munich. In the time gone by these players would be considered legends and some of them set out to MUC by train.

Surprisingly every one was almost on time, captain of the day Asher won the toss and elected to field first. SSC as we all expected put up the coconut mat to make use of their plethora of slow/medium fast bowlers. SSC made a good start and were 50 for no loss when Abdul made a double break-through in an over.

He was ably supported by all the other bowlers especially Rafiq and Raees. At the break SSC were 71/6, however after some later order hitting they managed to setup a target of 138 Runs.

NCC started the batting with their tried and trusted opening partnership of Ali and Umer. Both of them did not disappoint as well. We managed the early exchanges without any jitters and were 50 for no loss. However both lost their wicket in quick succession. Afterwards Arshad and Shakoor steadied the ship and took us towards victory.

Arshad got out when score was 104 but we managed to finish the chase without any additional loss of wicket. It was very good win for us and keeps us on track to become Champions.

A very special and big thanks to all the players who played. Even with the 9 players, we made the ground big for them and did not let opposition settle. If we keep on working as team and keep on helping others we would be soon crowned official champions.
